The price of $300 is a deposit, $270 of which will be refunded if a retail saddle is not purchased. Shipping costs are typically ± $12 each way for CONUS, and the remainder is for my time in processing the order and running the SMP test program.
All demos saddles are steel rails and typically red and yellow “ketchup + mustard” colors, however, sometimes may be black or some other random color, based on availability.
Depending on test saddle demand, I may ship retail saddles for testing. If you receive a saddle that is brand new [usually with a black cover] and you decide to purchase a retail saddle, there is no need to ship that saddle back, you can purchase it.
If a saddle is any color combination other than red and yellow “ketchup + mustard” and shows light signs of wear, it is used or has been tested by other riders. I can offer these saddles at a slight discount if you are interested in this purchase.
If you elect to purchase a retail saddle, $270 of the deposit will apply to the purchase of a retail saddle.
